I’m Michelle, a 31 year old recent transplant from Maryland to Arkansas. I grew up a Navy Brat, so moving doesn’t bother me much, although I do miss crab cakes and non-Wal-Mart grocery stores. I’m 5′ 1″ tall, which doesn’t bother me, but taller people seem obliged to inform me of my shortness and I can’t fathom why because it’s not news to me! Since moving I’ve put on a few pounds and am in the midst of working them back off again with infrequent trips to the gym. I have a 13 year old son named David who is the future daydream of many a teenage girl. I have a boyfriend and we have a dog who was a resuce in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. No, we didn't name him Katrina, we named him Reilly. Of course. I’m girly, but not too prissy, and I like pretty things. I love jewelry and I’m starting to learn how to make it myself. All of my favorite colors are usually inspired by gemstones - currently my favorite color is that blue-purple of tanzanite. I collect vintage evening bags, the more rhinestones the better. I love books, music, and movies. I fangirl Harry Potter, the Goo Goo Dolls, Sean Biggerstaff, Johnny Depp, and Kate Winslet. I have recently developed an obsession with crafting and as such am attempting to learn how to crochet. I am also a photography newbie who is about to purchase her first DSLR. There will be much "SQUEEE!" and "How do I work this thing?" when it arrives, which could be very amusing for blog readers!
