I am mom to a wonderful bipolar child. Life is not easy, but I am a much better person for having her in my life.
She’s taught me patience (more than I ever dreamed I could have) and how to find hope in seemingly never-ending despair. She is stronger than I could imagine being if I were in her shoes.

Like the song says: Mommy's all right ... she just seems a little weird. Parenting in today's world is a make it up as you go along, fly by the seat of your pants and sometimes fall flat on your face experience.
I sure hope my kids understand that I really am all right… if only just a little weird.
