Jason Heath's Bass Page is a blog for players and enthusiasts of the double bass and electric bass. I am the bass instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Trinity Intenational University, and I perform regularly with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Elgin Symphony, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, and Iris Chamber Orchestra. I am using the blog as a tool both for my personal students and for the Chicago bass community in general, providing double bass concert news, lesson schedules, recommended repertoire, lesson summaries and assignments, and the like. I also have a lot of categorized links for sites I feel double bass players should know about, especially those residing in the Chicago area, northern Illinois, or southern Wisconsin.
