ChristianCinema.com Movie News ------------------------------------------ Find out what’s happening in Christian moviemaking. News articles, exclusive interviews, links to movies you’ll want to see can all be found here. As independent filmmakers, we want to give you insight into the whole moviemaking process from start to finish. A movie doesn’t start when filming begins, and it isn’t finished when the last scene is shot. From time to time we’ll update you with a “work in progress,” and celebrate when a project comes to completion. Find out what others in the industry are saying, what studios are doing to enter the Christian market, and how individuals are putting their faith into practice through this fascinating, ever-evolving media. About Angela Walker ------------------------ As Director of Producer Relations for ChristianCinema.com, my job is to locate good videos from all sources and bring them into our website. A primary focus is finding independent filmmakers who are passionately fulfilling their vision and helping them market their work through our website. I have the best job in the company! I screen the movies added to our site, interview filmmakers (see our exclusive interviews at ChristianCinema.com), attend industry workshops (Biola Media Conference) and use our experience to help filmmakers succeed. I love to travel, read and watch movies! Before becoming part of ChristianCinema.com, I worked for an airline, traveled the world as a missionary, and served on the staff of a Rescue Mission. During my time as a missionary and at the Rescue Mission I worked with Christians of all denominations - Protestant, Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox - which has prepared me really well to understand (as much as is possible) the Christian culture. I hope the work I do broadens all our horizons and gives us a greater idea of who God is and how He is glorified through all of creation. About Bobby Downes ------------------------ Bobby, born in Visalia, California, teamed up with his younger brother Kevin to make The Moment After after 5 years of full-time missionary work in 15 nations and all 50 states. Before entering that work, Bobby graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a Masters Degree in Agriculture Science, and taught high school for 3 years. “During the making of The Moment After, we were in transition. I helped out for two weeks and was hooked.” Bobby went on to produce Mercy Streets, executive produce Lay It Down, co-produce TBN’s Time Changer and produce Six: The Mark Unleashed, starring Stephen Baldwin. He executive produced Frank Peretti’s best selling novel The Visitation, which was distributed by 20th Century Fox. He produced the indie sequel The Moment After 2: The Awakening and is currently producing Like Dandelion Dust for 20th Century Fox. He is Co-Founder and CEO of the popular movie site ChristianCinema.com (the biggest Christian movie store on the planet). Bobby has the pulse of the faith market and has spent years developing a faith-based consumer profile which directly impacts the films produced. The company is based in Visalia, California, where he lives with his wife Layne and their 5-year-old son Brennen.
