I close myself off in this room behind a screen of cigarette smoke mingled with the aromatic scent of Yemenite coffee to spend a few hours each morning writing to you and reading your mojo. “Your mojo” is what I am here for. We are constantly inundated with 24 hour news that espouses the horrible and retaliatory nature of man. Nay, this is not just about having a happy-go-lucky mindset, but rather a realist one that sees a need for more goodness or the sharing thereof with the world. Mojo has been defined countless ways. I am oft asked to define mojo. For me it is what keeps you going, something during the day that made you happy, your dreams, aspirations and goals. Hearing good news from others can inspire and make life more enjoyable. I am a very cynical person and I need to vent from temps de temps so bear with me. Me? I’ll try my best. Man finds the expatriation of his beloved friends difficult to bear because his pleasure comes through the five senses. My soul has already grown beyond that to a plan of higher enjoyment which does not require the mediation of the five senses. My soul sees, hears, and feels, but not through the medium of eyes, ears, and fingers. It roams the whole world and returns without the use of feet, cars, planes, and ships. I see people far and near and I perceive everything around them as the soul regards many other invisible and voiceless objects. The subtlest beauties in my life are unseen and unheard. I am in these days like a man observing Lent and awaiting the coming of the dawn of the feast. I am the caregiver for my disabled mother. It is a wonderful journey filled with tears, laughter and smiles. Some would think sorrowful, but these are usually the same self-indulged people who ask why I don’t just put her in a nursing home. Undoubtedly I will spend time writing about caregiving. I have found many who are in the same position, but entirely mojo-less. How did you find me? Is the mojo as beautiful as your yearnings promised? Or is it an arid spot where slothfulness and ego dwells? Is this the same glorious Robert Scoble, Jason Calacanis or Michael Arrington? Experiencing and sharing mojo is surely more important than random kyte.tv shows with crunchy video, ego-filled rants of how one needs to lose weight or posing as a blog when in truth you are slowly becoming no different than mainstream media structure. I refuse to partake in this chain of mountains and valleys empty of geniality, aloof from beauty, and surrounded by loneliness disguised as true friendship. Hopefully you will share mojo and I shall read and respond to every word. But if there is something that you do not feel can be discussed publicly, send me an e-mail so that I may share your thoughts and see the reality of the world through your eyes. I am sure that you will pass through MojoMorn on your way back to the Huffington Post’s of the world, but we shall meet for this short time and be merrily mojolicious.
